SUNNY
As a Chinese boy moves from childhood to adolescence, he finds himself lost in a world that tells him he should hate where he comes from
‘SUNNY’ follows the story of a mixed race Chinese British boy who is ashamed of his ethnicity, and unsure of where he belongs. As he transitions into adult life, and is continually confronted by hatred towards people who look like him, he stumbles across some strange footage on TV.
Rooted in the journey we all take to accepting who we are, ‘SUNNY’ digs into the importance of Chinese history, the need for young people to see themselves, and the anger that comes when loneliness engulfs you.
