PLACES IN SPACES WHERE PEOPLE SHOULD BE

AN SHORT POEM ABOUT FORGOTTEN PLACES, SHOT ON 8MM

“I was stuck in an unfamiliar city with time to kill. So I’d walk endlessly with my own thoughts, crossing bridges and tram lines, past cathedrals and houses, all bearing the weight of history. You can’t help but notice these places and objects that once were full, but now felt empty, like a container that life had slipped away from. Now they were ignored, and forgotten. I wondered how many people felt that way too. And how many forgotten places there were within us, unattended and rotting because they were too ugly to look at.”
